Avacado Last week we advised that we have made the change over to imported fruit. Unfortunately with problems of stock levels and getting fruit into the country supply has dried up and we are on relying on Western Australian fruit to help with the short fall. With fires in the Nullarbor Plain closing the roads fruit has not been able to get across to the markets this is leaving us very short with supply of any fruit, let alone ripe fruit. This problem will be ongoing for the next few weeks. |

Yellow Zucchini A great alternate to the ever popular green Zucchini is the yellow Zucchini. They are grown in the Yarra valley in Victoria. This vegetable has the same texture and retains the typical Zucchini flavour, but slightly sweeter. Sold in boxes of 2.5kg and will be available until the end of March. |

Local Tomatoes This week we have received our first pick of gourmet Tomatoes from our local grower in Gillieston. This fruit will be firmer and more flavoursome than the South Australia Tomatoes we have been supplying recently. Later this week we expect to see local Roma and Cherry Tomatoes available from Tatura. Now is a great time to be purchasing these tomatoes to help support out local growers. |

Heirloom Tomatoes This week our local supplier has informed us he has started supply of his heirloom Tomatoes from his Yarra Valley farms. Expected to be available for the next 10 weeks and sold in trays of 3kg they are a great addition to any menu for flavour and also appearance. |
